Key Items To Look For When Buying Robot Vacuum That Won’t Bump Into Things:

If you are looking for robot vacuums that won’t bump into things, you need to purchase ones based on Optical Navigation Technology or Laser Navigation Technology.

However, be prepared to pay a higher price for those robot vacuums because they are some of the high-end robot vacuums.

Furniture may be damaged by a robot vacuum if it continually bumps against it, creating dents or scratches.

To solve this problem, you should look for a vacuum that uses laser or VSLAM Technology to create a map of your house. Also, you can protect your furnishings from your robot vacuum by using risers or bumpers.

Which Robot Vacuums Should You Avoid?

Here’s a list of some of the robot vacuums you should avoid because they often bump into furniture and other obstacles in the room:

  • Eureka Groove Robot Vacuum
  • Eufy Robovac 11S
  • Very Early Models iRobot Roombas

Essentially, you need to avoid the robot vacuums that use low-budget technologies – relying on the combination of collision or cliff sensors. Instead, you should select the ones that use Lidar or at least optical-based navigation technology.

Now let’s take a closer look at the top robot vacuums that won’t bump into things:

Roborock Q7 Max

Key Features:

  • It is supported by a powerful suction pressure of 4200 Pa.
  • Lidar navigation is used for precise obstacle detection and mapping The area.
  • Mops and vacuums at the same time.
  • It comes with a decently sized dustbin of 0.47 liters and a decent capacity water tank of 350 ml which ensures less-frequent refilling or emptying.

What I Like:

This robot vacuum uses a Lidar navigation system, so it travels in your room, choosing an effective pathway rather than just roaming around.

The fact that it’s so simple to use is the first thing I admire about this robot vacuum. It’s very simple and fast to get going.

After downloading the Roborock app and plugging in the charging station, you must place the Q7 on the charging ports. The app then guides you through the process of connecting the vacuum to your home’s Wi-Fi network.

When you’re done, your Q7 will appear in the app, and you can begin the first mapping process. You may clean and map at the same time by letting the Q7 roll about your home to collect data for its first map.

This robot vacuum’s ability to quickly and effectively collect dust and dirt is another feature I liked.

What I Didn’t Like:

The only slight concern about the robot vacuum is that it is relatively more costly than typical robot vacs. And although it gives a decent cleaning experience, it may not perform well when you want to deep clean with it.

Pros And Cons:

ProsCons
Performs well in cleaning dirt and debrisRelatively expensive
Offers a decent run timeStruggles a bit when it comes to deep cleaning
It is easy to use and operate the robot vacuum
The robot vacuum is not too noisy to operate

Who Is It For:

If you are ready to pay a slightly higher price to enjoy benefits like high suction power of 4200 Pa and advanced bristle-less rollers, the Roborock Q7 ax is the right pick.

Shark AI Ultra

Key Features:

  • Comes with true HEPA filtration for effectively dirt and debris.
  • The self-emptying docking station can hold up to 2 months of dirt, so you don’t need to worry about emptying it frequently.
  • An all-around lidar technology powers the robot vacuum for precisely mapping the home.
  • The powerful suction and self-cleaning brush roll effectively cleans pet hair without any difficulty.

What I Like:

The robot vacuum’s LiDAR vision is the first notable feature since it can rapidly and correctly map your house. Because of this innovation, the robot vacuum can clean day or night thoroughly, identifying and avoiding obstacles in its route.

A further characteristic worth mentioning is the robot vacuum’s ability to work adequately on bare floors. Pet hair and other tiny and large debris are easily removed from the surface.

No more having to manually clear the trash after each cleaning session thanks to this robot’s self-emptying base station, which also makes maintenance easier.

What I Didn’t Like:

Although this robot vacuum gives an overall good performance, especially on bare floors, it can struggle to clean stains from the floor.

Pros And Cons:

ProsCons
The self-emptying feature is availableStruggles at clearing stains
Offers better battery life
Performance is great on plain floors

Who Is It For:

If you are looking for a mid-range robot vacuum that comes with a self-emptying feature and Lidar navigation, then this robot vacuum is for you.

Yeedi Mop Station Pro

Key Features:

  • The robot vacuum uses 3000 Pa suction power to clean dirt from the floor.
  • With a battery of 5200 mAh, the robot vacuum offers a runtime of around 3 hours on a single charge.
  • The self-cleaning mopping pads are available with this robot vacuum and use two three-and-a-half liters of water tank for cleaning.
  • It has a 750 ml large dustbin which reduces the hassle of emptying the trash very frequently.

What I Like:

The first noteworthy thing about this robot vacuum is its self-cleaning capability. To mop, many of the finest robot vacuums merely drag a damp microfiber cloth over your floors, which quickly gets clogged and is less efficient as it is used.

But the Yeedi Mop Station Pro is unlike others. When the robot is in mopping mode, it returns to its charging port, which is a self-cleaning station. Moreover, the station is self-sufficient thanks to its two enormous tanks.

Another great feature of this robot vacuum is that it operates at low noise levels. Compared to all the features you get from this robot vacuum, the price is not too much, which makes it a good bang for your buck product.

What I Didn’t Like:

The docking station is bulky, so you will require more space. Another small drawback is that you can’t store multiple maps in the app. And it may also struggle to clean tough, dried messes. But overall, it offers pretty decent mopping.

Pros And Cons:

ProsCons
It doesn’t make much noise while operatingThe docking station is big
It comes with a big water tankYou can’t store more than one map in the app
The self-cleaning feature is available
It has a reasonable price considering the features offered

Who Is It For:

If you wish to have a robot vacuum with great mopping and self-cleaning ability at a reasonable price range, then the Yeedi Mop station pro is the right option.
